BioTshanda formed the group in 1987 as backing vocalists for his band, Splash and disco siren, Patricia Majalisa singing a combination of folk and pop music .
The founding members were Petronella Rampou and Jacqueline Rotwana before Martha Nzaima joined the duo in 1989.
